privacy
Privacy Statement. Effective August 20, 2026.
Scope
This Privacy Statement describes the personal information collected through ipaidforthisshirt.com (the “Site”), which is operated by FROM AMERICA LLC, an Illinois limited liability company (“we” or “us”). It describes how that information is collected, why it is used, who it is disclosed to, how long it is kept, and the rights you may exercise over it. It applies to the Site and to orders placed through it. Using the Site or placing an order constitutes acceptance of this Statement.
Categories of Personal Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of personal information, and only these:
- Identifiers. Your name, email address, telephone number, the IP address from which a checkout or inquiry is submitted, and the order identifier we assign.
- Contact information. The shipping address and billing address entered at checkout.
- Commercial information. The order itself: the price you selected, the size, the color, the amounts charged, and the print file generated from your price.
- Internet activity. The pages your browser requests, the user agent it reports, and its interaction with the advertising technologies described below.
- Financial information. The brand and last four digits of the payment card, as reported to us by Stripe. Full card details are collected and held by Stripe and are not transmitted to us at any point.
How the Information Is Collected
- Directly from you. The price and the size are entered on the Site. The remaining order details are entered on Stripe’s checkout page, which Stripe operates, and are passed to us to fill the order.
- Automatically from your browser. IP address, user agent and page requests, when you use the Site.
- From our service providers. Stripe reports the result of the payment, the card brand and the last four digits. Printify reports fulfillment status and tracking.
Above $250 the purchase control becomes an inquiry form. That form collects your email address, the note you write, and the IP address it is submitted from.
Why the Information Is Collected and Used
We collect and use the categories above for the following purposes, and no others: (1) to produce and ship the order; (2) to communicate with you about your own order; (3) to resolve a refund, replacement, dispute or question concerning an order; (4) to detect and address fraud and to secure the Site; (5) to maintain the transaction records required for tax, accounting and audit; (6) to advertise, as described under Sale and Sharing for Advertising; (7) to send announcement email where you have asked to receive it; and (8) to comply with applicable law and to respond to lawful requests.
What Is Disclosed, and to Whom
We disclose personal information to the following recipients, each engaged under terms that limit their use of it to providing the service described:
- Stripe processes the payment and issues your receipt, and receives the information you enter at checkout.
- Printify and its print provider SwiftPOD receive your name, shipping address, telephone number, email address and the print file, in order to produce and mail the shirt. Printify issues the tracking notification.
- Cloudflare hosts the Site, stores the order record and the print file, and counts page views.
- Meta and TikTok receive the advertising records described in the following section.
Personal information is additionally disclosed to our accountant for tax and bookkeeping; to Stripe and the card networks in connection with a chargeback, dispute or suspected fraudulent charge; to a purchaser or successor in the circumstances described under Business Transfers; and to law enforcement, a regulator or a court where disclosure is required by law or necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.
Sale and Sharing for Advertising
We do not sell personal information for money. We do disclose the records described in this section to Meta and to TikTok for advertising purposes. California law characterizes this as sharing personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and the privacy laws of some states may characterize it as a “sale” notwithstanding that we receive no fee for it. You may direct us to stop, on the terms set out under How to Opt Out.
The home page loads an advertising pixel after the page has finished rendering. The pixel sets a cookie and reports that a browser visited, which permits us to advertise to people who have seen the Site.
Two further records are transmitted from our own server:
- On starting checkout: the amount, your IP address and your browser’s user agent.
- On payment: the amount, and your email address and telephone number in SHA-256 hashed form.
Both records are transmitted to Meta, and to TikTok while we are advertising on that platform. The recipient matches the hashed values against its own account records in order to attribute a sale to an advertisement. Hashing permits that matching. It does not render the information anonymous, and you should not treat it as doing so.
How to Opt Out
Where your browser transmits a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as an opt-out of the sharing described above: no pixel is loaded, and neither server-side record is transmitted for your order.
You may also opt out by writing to hi@ipaidforthisshirt.com, and we will apply it to your record. Opting out has no effect on the price you pay or the product you receive.
Announcement Email
Stripe’s checkout page presents a tick box for new-release email. It is unticked by default. Where it is ticked, we write when a new design is published. Where it is not, we correspond with you about your own order.
Every announcement carries an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing is permanent and takes effect on receipt. You may also unsubscribe by writing to hi@ipaidforthisshirt.com.
Your Rights and How to Exercise Them
You may make the following requests, whatever state you live in, by writing to hi@ipaidforthisshirt.com:
- Request to know. The categories and the specific pieces of personal information we hold about you, the sources it came from, the purposes it is used for, and the parties it has been disclosed to.
- Request to correct. Correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Request to delete. Deletion of the personal information we hold about you, subject to the records we are required to retain under How Long the Information Is Kept. Where a record is retained, we will identify it and state the ground for retaining it.
- Request to opt out. Withdrawal from the sharing described under Sale and Sharing for Advertising.
We confirm receipt within 10 days and respond within 45 days. Where a request is complex, we may extend that period by up to a further 45 days and will tell you before doing so.
We verify a request by matching the email address it is sent from against the address on the order. Where you write from a different address, supply the order identifier. An agent may make a request on your behalf on production of your written authorization.
Making a request is free, and neither making one nor opting out results in any difference in price, product or service.
How Long the Information Is Kept
Thirty days after an order is completed or cancelled, the shipping address, telephone number and IP address attached to it are deleted automatically. The IP address recorded against an inquiry is deleted on the same schedule. An order held for manual resolution retains its details until it is resolved, and the same thirty days run from that point.
The order record is retained for seven years: the price, the size, the order identifier, the amounts, the print file and your email address. It is what allows us to answer a refund, a replacement or a question about a shirt after the address has been deleted. Seven years is the retention period we have set to cover tax, accounting, audit and dispute-resolution obligations.
Deletion of our copy does not extend to our service providers. Stripe, Printify, Meta and TikTok retain what they have received under their own retention terms.
Security
The Site is served exclusively over HTTPS, and access to order data is restricted to the business. We maintain security measures appropriate to the volume and sensitivity of the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we do not warrant that ours is.
Children’s Privacy
The Site is intended for adults. You confirm that you are 18 or older before paying. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided personal information to us may write to hi@ipaidforthisshirt.com and we will delete it.
Linked Websites
Payment takes place on a page operated by Stripe, and the Site links to other websites we do not operate. This Statement does not govern them. Their own privacy terms do.
Where the Information Is Held
We ship to the United States only. The order record and the print file are stored in the United States. The Site is served from Cloudflare’s global network, so a request may be handled at a location closer to you, and our service providers may process information in other jurisdictions in the course of providing their services.
Business Transfers
If the business is sold, merged or otherwise transferred, order records and the announcement list transfer as part of it, and this Statement travels with them until the acquirer publishes its own.
Changes to This Statement
We may revise this Statement. The revised version is published on this page under a new effective date, and applies from that date. Where a revision materially changes what is collected or who it is disclosed to, we will say so on this page.
